You can install Quick Heal antivirus using the Quick Heal CD or the Quick Heal installer.

Using Quick Heal CD

1. Insert the Quick Heal antivirus CD/DVD in the DVD drive.
2. Click Install.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Using Quick Heal Installer

1. Download the Quick Heal antivirus from https://www.quickheal.co.in/quick-heal-product-installer.
2. To install Quick Heal antivirus, double-click the product setup and then follow the on-screen instructions.

It is important that you register the product soon after you install it. A subscriber with registered license can use all the features without any interruptions, take the updates regularly, and get technical support whenever required. To register the product, see How can I register/activate Quick Heal antivirus?

Quick Heal antivirus can be installed on any of the following Windows operating systems — Windows 10, Windows 8.1 / Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows XP (SP 2).

You can register/activate Quick Heal antivirus online, offline, and through SMS as per your convenience.

Registering online 

If you are connected to the Internet, you can register your product online.

1. Open Quick Heal antivirus.
2. On the Quick Heal Dashboard, click the Register Now button.
3. On the Registration Wizard, enter the 20-digit Product Key and click Next.

   The Registration Information appears.

4. Enter relevant information in the Purchased From and Register for text boxes, and then click Next.
5. Provide your Name, Email Address, and Contact Number. Select your Country, State, and City.

   If your State/Province and City are not available in the list, you can type your locations in the respective boxes.

6. Click Next to continue.

   A confirmation screen appears with the details you entered.

   If any modifications are needed, click Back to go to the previous screen and make the required changes.

7. Click Next to continue.

   Your product is activated successfully. The expiry date of your license is displayed.

8. Click Finish to close the Registration Wizard.

After the registration process completes, you are prompted to create an account with Quick Heal RDM that allows you to manage your device remotely. To know about how to create an account with Quick Heal RDM, see Remotely Manage Quick Heal in the user manual.

Registering offline 

You can register Quick Heal antivirus offline if your computer is not connected to the Internet. Before registering offline, make sure you have product key, installation number, and activation license key ready with you.

Finding your Product Key

You can find your Product Key in your product packaging. The Product Key is sent to your email address if you have purchased it online.

Finding your Installation Number

You can find the Installation Number from the Activation Wizard in the following way:

1. Open Quick Heal antivirus.
2. On the dashboard, click the Register Now button.
3. On the Registration Wizard, click Register Offline.

   The offline activation screen appears with the offline activation URL and Installation Number. You can note down the URL for offline activation and 12-digit Installation Number or click Save to file to save the details in text file.

Generating activation license key

To generate an activation license key, follow these steps:

1. Visit the offline activation page at www.quickheal.com/actinfo.htm.

   An Off-Line Registration page appears.

2. Under your product version, click the link Click here.

   Ensure that you have the Product Key and Installation Number ready with you (as described in the preceding sections).

3. Enter the Product Key and Installation Number in the relevant fields and click Submit.
4. On the registration form, enter the relevant information and then click Submit.

   All asterisk (*) fields are mandatory to fill.

   A new key is generated.

   Save this key for future reference. This key is also sent to your email address that you provided during registration of the product.

Activating Quick Heal antivirus with activation license key 

After the offline activation license key is generated, you can proceed with activating Quick Heal antivirus on your computer.

1. Open Quick Heal antivirus.
2. On the dashboard, click the Register Now button.
3. On the Registration Wizard, click Register Offline.

   The offline activation screen appears.

4. Click Browse to locate the path where the <license>.key is stored and click Next.

   Your license is activated successfully and the expiry date of your license is displayed.

5. Click Finish.

Registering through SMS

You can register Quick Heal antivirus through SMS also.

Currently, the Registration through SMS facility is available to the subscribers based in India only.

To register Quick Heal antivirus through SMS, follow these steps:

1. Open Quick Heal antivirus.
2. On the dashboard, click the Register Now button.
3. On the Registration Wizard, click SMS Registration.

   A screen with the conditions related to registering through SMS appears. Read the conditions carefully.

4. Click Next.
5. Enter the 20-digit Product Key and click Next. <p >The Registration Information appears.
6. Enter relevant information in the Purchased From and Register for text boxes, and then click Next.
7. Enter your Name, Email Address, and Contact Number. Select your Country, State, and City.

   If your State/Province and City are not available in the list, you can type your locations in the respective boxes.

8. Click Next.

   A confirmation screen appears with the information that you entered.

   If any modifications are needed, click Back to go to the previous page and make the required changes.

9. Click Next.

   A unique code along with a mobile number is displayed.

10. Type the code and send it as an SMS to the number displayed.
11. After successful registration at the Quick Heal Registration Center, you will receive an SMS on your registered mobile number that contains an alphanumeric activation code. Type this activation code in the text box displayed and click Next.

    Your product is activated successfully and the expiry date of your license is displayed.

12. Click Finish to close the Registration Wizard.

Yes. For this, you must first uninstall the antivirus software from the current PC and then you can install it on another PC. Moreover, you need to register your software once again on the new PC. To register Quick Heal antivirus, see How can I register/activate Quick Heal antivirus?

You can find the Product Key in the following way.

1. Open Quick Heal antivirus.
2. On the dashboard, select Help > About.
3. Click the License Details button.

On the dashboard of Quick Heal, you can see when your license is expiring. If you click this link, you can see the license details. This helps you know when you should renew your license.

You will find the Installation Number from the Activation Wizard while registering offline. See Find your Installation Number under Registering offline.

This prompt general appears when you try to re-register/reactivate with previously generated License.key. If you are reactivating the product on the same PC or another PC, you need to generate a new License.key. To know how to generate an activation key, see Generating activation license key.
